FAQ

S2MG41 (76g Premium Top-coated Thermal Paper): does the Hot Melt adhesive on Blue Glassine give enough grab at the corrugated cartons and waybill stock edge, and does it still hold on our own substrate?
76g Premium Top-coated Thermal Paper is specified for the express & logistics waybills field, which does not mean every substrate in it. Direct thermal prints without a ribbon, but heat, sunlight and plasticiser contact keep developing the coating. Not recommended for PVC surfaces; small diameters, irregular or squeezable bottles.
At what temperature do we apply S2MG41 (76g Premium Top-coated Thermal Paper, Hot Melt), and what can it take afterwards, and how do we verify it on the line?
The minimum application temperature is 10 °C and the service range after labelling is -15–65 °C. Below the minimum the adhesive cannot wet out, and edges lift within hours on a curved wall. Both figures are measured at 23±2 °C / 50±5 % RH, so confirm them with a trial roll on your line.
What are the initial tack and 90° peel figures for S2MG41 (76g Premium Top-coated Thermal Paper, Hot Melt), and which document states it?
Initial tack is ≥14 N by the ball method and 90° peel is ≥7 N/25 mm after 20 min. Both are measured to FINAT FTM 9 and FTM 2 at 23±2 °C / 50±5 % RH. Peel grows with dwell, so compare the same hold time against your own pull test.
Does the Blue Glassine liner add lead time to a S2MG41 (76g Premium Top-coated Thermal Paper, Hot Melt) order, and does a slit roll change it?
Minimum order quantity is 500 ㎡ and lead time is 15 days after artwork and roll-format approval. A trial roll for press approval can be arranged before the production run starts. Shipment is ex-works Guangzhou, and it can be consolidated with other codes on the same order.
How does S2MG41 (76g Premium Top-coated Thermal Paper) compare with SR0041 on corrugated cartons and waybill stock, and does the price differ much?
S2MG41 runs Hot Melt adhesive on Blue Glassine Liner, while SR0041 runs Low-tack Removable on 62g White Glassine Liner. The difference is the adhesive chemistry, which decides edge lift and high-speed behaviour more than the face does. Compare the two technical tables above, then test both on the same substrate.
