FAQ

We used a generic 70g Economy Top-coated Thermal Paper before and it lifted — is S3MG71 any different on corrugated cartons and waybill stock, and what would you send as a sample?
70g Economy Top-coated Thermal Paper is specified for the express & logistics waybills field, which does not mean every substrate in it. Direct thermal prints without a ribbon, but heat, sunlight and plasticiser contact keep developing the coating. Where the surface is recycled or carries mould release, treat the first roll as a trial.
Does the 80g White Glassine liner on S3MG71 (70g Economy Top-coated Thermal Paper, Hot Melt) change how it behaves when applied cold, and does that hold at our line temperature?
No application-temperature figure is released for this construction, and we will not invent one. Adhesive wet-out decides the low end, and that depends on your line speed and the temperature of the bottle. The declared test condition is 23±2 °C / 50±5 % RH, and a trial roll shows where your own line sits.
Do the peel figures for S3MG71 (70g Economy Top-coated Thermal Paper, Hot Melt) change with the 80g White Glassine liner, and what substrate was it measured on?
No tack or peel figure is released for this construction, so we will not quote one. We report tack to FINAT FTM 9 by the ball method and 90° peel to FTM 2, at 23±2 °C / 50±5 % RH.
What MOQ applies to S3MG71 (70g Economy Top-coated Thermal Paper) with Hot Melt adhesive, and what is the lead time after approval, and can a trial roll count towards it?
Minimum order quantity is 500 ㎡ and lead time is 15 days after artwork and roll-format approval. A trial roll for press approval can be arranged before the production run starts. Shipment is ex-works Guangzhou, and it can be consolidated with other codes on the same order.
What is the difference between S3MG71 (70g Economy Top-coated Thermal Paper) and SR0041, and is one a drop-in for the other?
S3MG71 runs Hot Melt adhesive on 80g White Glassine Liner, while SR0041 runs Low-tack Removable on 62g White Glassine Liner. The difference is the adhesive chemistry, which decides edge lift and high-speed behaviour more than the face does. Compare the two technical tables above, then test both on the same substrate.
